Earlier this year, a Colombian trading company contacted us through LinkedIn.

The company supplies printing materials to several printing houses in Bogotá.

Their first message was:

“We are looking for a reliable supplier of C2S coated art paper. Please quote CIF Buenaventura for 200gsm.”

The client requested detailed information including:

• GSM tolerance

• Paper brightness

• Coating quality

We provided the full product specification sheet and also explained our export packing method to ensure the paper would remain flat during transport.

The buyer compared our quotation with suppliers from Indonesia and Korea. After several discussions, the client decided to proceed with a trial order.

• Destination: Buenaventura Port, Colombia

• Container: 20ft container

• Quantity: about 13 tons

The cargo was palletized and wrapped with moisture-proof film to protect it during sea transportation.

Transit time from Qingdao to Buenaventura was around 33 days.

After the shipment arrived in Colombia, the buyer informed us:

“The paper surface quality is excellent and the color reproduction is very good for offset printing.”

Following the successful trial shipment, the client discussed the possibility of placing regular orders every two months.
